Photo: Syracuse Selling “Beat Duke” Shirts Over 2 Months Before Game
Syracuse doesn’t officially welcome Duke to the Carrier Dome until February 1st, 2014, but the school is getting a head start on building up the new rivalry. SU is now selling “Beat Duke” shirts in the student bookstore on campus, over two months before the game tips off. If you remember, the school’s officials briefly debated moving the basketball court to the center of the Dome before abandoning the idea. Still, the event is going to be huge.
Syracuse will head to Durham for a rematch just 21 days later – we’ll see if the Blue Devils have any plans for promoting the rivalry on their end.
