Report: TCU WR Brandon Carter Not Playing Against WVU Due To Family Situation
A season filled with injuries and off-the-field issues continues for the TCU Horned Frogs.
Junior wide receiver Brandon Carter posted on Twitter today that he will not be on the field for the Frogs’ game against West Virginia.
Stefan Stevenson, TCU beat writer for the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, was told by a source that Carter’s absence is due to a family situation.
Carter, who threw the game-tying touchdown pass against West Virginia last year, has struggled all season. The native of Euless, Texas, has just 17 catches for 197 yards and has yet to record a touchdown. He has also fumbled several punts and been kept off the field for a variety of issues.
For a TCU team that has struggled to find its number one receiver, this is just another blow. The Horned Frogs take on West Virginia at 3:30 EST on ESPNU.
